The Brake the Cycle of Poverty Team has completed their 2009 weeklong ride through Connecticut. This was their 6th annual ride in Connecticut and 7th overall. Each ride they cycle through Connecticut stopping in poverty centers or at legislative offices on their way to visiting parish communities to speak of poverty awareness. Their 2009 ride started on June 25 and took them from Manchester to Canaan to Newington to Willimantic to West Hartford to New Haven to New Britain. They finished on Thursday, June 30 at the Corbin Heights Housing Project supported by the Public Housing Residents Network (PHRN) and the Connecticut Housing Coalition (CHC).
